Default NGD - Martin Dreadnought Jr.

My guess is the better direct comparison size wise is the Big Baby Taylor, not the regular Baby. It is also referred to as a 15/16 dreadnought.

Then most would be wrong. It is a 15/16th guitar. It is very comfortable and an excellent value. I had to pick up some hardware this afternoon and A/B/C'd the Dread Jr., GS Mini and LX1 side by side. To me, the Dread. Jr. was clearly the better sounding and playing guitar. Played easier than the GS Mini (I've also owned two). It played a bit better than the LX1 as well but sounded clearly much better than the other two. It had a full resonant tone and was not boxy or airy as many smaller guitars can be.

If I was in desire/need of a new guitar this one would easily be a good stage guitar or even a haul-around/ take to the beach/ play anywhere guitar. Additionally at its price point I believe it is the best deal on the market. I didn't plug it in but I've heard it sounds great plugged in as well.

I'm strongly considering a D Jr. Anyone know what happened to the end user videos of the Juniors that were on YouTube, including Jeremy's? Seems only the namm and Maury's ones are still up.

Ohhhhh, the GAS. I feel it. I'm a Taylor girl and I want one of these terribly.

Couple of questions. I apologize if they've already been answered in the thread. What does it look like next to a GS Mini? Is there any laminate on this guitar? Does it come with electronics or would that have to be an aftermarket addition?

UPDATE: Well...that didn't take long. After a bit of research, I found a "used" Dreadnought Jr. for sale on Reverb. Owner's name is Jeff and he just got the guitar a few weeks ago. I asked why he was selling and he said that he has too many guitars and this one hasn't gotten the playing time he'd hoped in the last few weeks. I offered $500 and he accepted. I should be embarrassed at how fast I pulled the trigger. Haha. But for $100 off the price how could I have passed?? Here's the listing:

Hahah. If I hadn't found it on Reverb listed for $100 off, I probably wouldn't have pulled the trigger..............as fast as I did.
