You have an absolutely world class guitar coming your way Josh! Really intrigued to see how your back set would look when it is cleaned up with some finish added

Awesome finally a Ryan build thread its been to long. The 3 Ryans I've owned have been the finest guitars I've owned or played. Congrats on getting a Paridiso going!!!

Looks to me like the braces are CNC'ed to give those holes, no doubt with the aim of reducing mass. If so, then how much additional scalloping of these does Mr. Ryan do by hand, or are they glued in place as is?
I guess I'm asking if the top is voiced by brace shaving just like a "standard" brace would be if done by another luthier? Cheers, Steve |

Good question Steve
When I visited the shop last year Kevin gave me a quick explanation of the EO braces. They are indeed laser cut on a CNC.
I am really loving my 05 nightingale soloist. Which does not have any of the newer EO stuff. And is MIGHTY FINE AS IS!!!! I figure it just gets better with the tech upgrades!!! Otherwise, why bother? You have a special one coming! Thanks for sharing the build... Cheers Paul

Everything about the build, fit, and finish of a Ryan just screams "precision". This guitar you've got coming is as good as it gets. Can't wait to see the final result!

Stevie Coyle reviewing my moms Ryan Mission GC (video)
This is a review Stevie Coyle did for Peghead Nation in which he reviews a Ryan Mission GC (that my mom actually bought a month or two later)

About time we had another Ryan build thread! Kevin Ryan is a delight to work with, I look forward to seeing this thread progress.

"Diamonte" pics
My fretboard will be inlaid with Kevin's Diamonte pattern. It comes from, originally, a Signature Series guitar with over 700 inlaid diamond shell and MOP pieces. A remarkable guitar and that inlay has been used a few times since. Here are two pics, taken by Barb Ryan (maybe Kevin), of that guitar.
