I went to a Bose direct store today and asked about the S1. They knew of it and said they had a meeting tonight about new products. He promised to call with pricing and let me know details and availability.

Great!
Did they mention anything about other new PA products?

Nope, I only asked about one. I will asked tomorrow. However most of the Bose outlets carry primarily consumer items and not many professional items.

Great Thanks.

I was referring to portable PA products which I believe they do carry.

I'm curious if they are coming out with any updates to the L1 Compact.

I am hoping for some updates to the L1 Compact, or maybe something in between the L1 Compact and the L1. I'd love a bigger L1 Compact that has more drivers in the tower, but plugging into a punchier subwoofer than the Compact. ...and A way for the Tonematch to connect and be powered with the L1 Compact ..without an external power brick.

Sounds like you're describing the L1s... with either the standard B1 cabinet or the new B2... has each of the capabilities you've requested...

I went on the Bose User's Forum to search for anything about the "S" product, and there's nothing there but some hints that "all will be revealed" shortly... I assume at the NAMM show, but hasn't that happened already?

Those changes to the L1 Compact would make a lot of sense. I’m not sure we are going to see them though! I wouldn’t be surprised if we get a new mid sized model with the price of the Compact being reduced.

It would appear Bose is "listening" ...

Hi All,

We know there a lot of L1 Compact users on the forum and we wanted to get a better understanding of the effects and processing that you use with the system.

For example, Are you using the T1 or just the L1 Compact by itself?

Please reply to this post with a description of your rig. We would love to see pictures and understand the effects and mixing options that are most important to you.

Looking forward to your participation.

Thanks

Craig

The date I'm seeing for NAMM is just ahead of us, Jan. 25-28.

Thanks Don -

Looks cool! So it appears they are marketing it for practice and small gatherings.
Also it has adaptive EQ feature that automatically updates for "best sound" depending on positioning.

Grabbed a few screen shots

1 - 6 Inch Woofer
3 - 2.25" Speakers
Weighs 15 lbs
Reverb
Bass and Treble
Aux / Bluetooth input
Line out
ToneMatch Switch for guitar and vocals

* Battery is an optional accessory.

Very interesting. They finally broke down and added reverb and EQ to something (though just bass/treble).

I wonder how many extra sales they will get from being able to rotate the Bose logo.

Snarking aside, I'm interested. It's a portable unit with their articulation setup and yeah since it's Bose I expect it'll sound pretty good.

Also thanks to Jake for posting that Compact discussion link, lots of great stuff in there for a Compact newbie such as myself.

This looks really interesting. It may be able to replace my Freeplay and k8.2 for some gigs.

I’ll be at NAMM this week.

Wow! Guess I better revise my previous price prediction now that the features have been revealed... this will be priced above the L1C. New guess is $1099.
