I don't think it would have mattered what they did at that point, I can't see how they would have come back to win this one.

Yes. Bad call by Tomlin. Bad play calling at this level will cost you.

Watched the game and felt Jacksonville looked far superior to the Steelers today. Hard to believe they only won by 3.

I feel a bit sorry for Pittsburg. They battled. Onside kick was a mistake. But what really troubled me was that the stands were empty at the end of the game. As a Pittsburg fan you could at least stick around and thank your team for a fine season. But you all booked when times went wrong. I'm re-thinking Pittsburg fans. Let's beat the traffic. Nothing here to see. What about your players? They must be hurt by that. Fair weather friends?

You had two timeouts. Bortles wasn't going to throw the ball with that lead; he was playing prevent-offense with Fournette. You kick it off. First play, run, time out, you burn about 5 seconds off the clock. Second pay, run again, call time out, burn another 5 seconds. Third play, run, lose 40 seconds. Fourth down, Jacksonville punts, and Roethlisberger has the ball with about 1 minute left. I seem to like those chances better than the onside kick. Only thing that would have foiled that would have been Fournette breaking free for a first down.

You blow the onside kick, and Lambo was already in FG range.

Hard to believe Jacksonville was the same team that played Buffalo last week.

Wasted a stellar performance by Big Ben. Tomlinson is not a money coach. Kudos to Bortles, gutsy game but he's still the worst passer since Tebow left town. Might not even matter if the defense is there, he's way better than Manning in his last year.

All he had to do was grab Diggs, why he dropped his head and tried to take him out I will never understand...he was the safety, the last man standing....worst defensive play I have ever seen, but congrats to the Vikes.

The only thing I can think of is that he was ducking down so he wouldn't get called for spearing with his helmet and get called for pounding a "defenseless receiver." A defensive penalty would have stopped the clock and give them another 15 yards on top of the catch.

I was at the Green Bay game. Attendance then was phenomenal but the weather was worse than today. Local sports media were scratching their heads too. Stubhub had tix for $65.

The Steelers were out of it several times but battled back - yet came up short. Late game bad play calling and weak D were their bane.
