Default SOLD - 2012 Martin D-28 Authentic 1941 - Adi/Madi

$SOLD plus shipping cost/insurance to you.

Very good condition. I am the original owner, purchased at Guitar Center in Concord, CA. This is the "pre-VTS" version, so the top is not baked. But as you can see in the pictures, it has taken on a beautiful golden hue. This is a tone monster, with full bass and mids, and nice chimey trebles. There are a couple of minor cosmetic issues, including normal playwear on and near the pick-guard, as well as a microscopic finish crack near the pick-guard that only the trained eye can detect. I have taken the guitar to a luthier in my area and he asserts that it is isolated to the finish only, and not spreading. I would challenge anyone to be able to see it if you did not know it was there. There is also a tiny gap in the binding between the heel cap and the guitar body (last picture), which is frozen by the sandwiching effect.

Check out the creamy Madagascar Rosewood on the back and sides and the crazy Brazilian Rosewood headstock overlay.

I am selling this guitar to help fund my latest Goodall addition (or addiction). I am happy to entertain questions via PM. Thanks. ~ Mike

Awesome looking Madi and nice price too.

GLWS, Mike!

(I suspect this won’t last long with this set of Madi though)

Amazing how much nicer that Madagascar rosewood looks than the standard East Indian!

I sure wish I had the funds/could justify buying all these nice guitars everyone has for sale on here!

Friendly bump. Probably my favorite Martin ever. 1 11/16, as nature intended, and great balanced tone.

Thanks for the kind words for this sweet dred. There has been a lot of interest and a few near trigger-pulls, but it is still available. This baby will be posted on Reverb soon, if it doesn't sell within the AGF family.

Good Lord, that is a dream guitar for me. Good price, too. If I had the funds I would be claiming it!

Default Video Added

Friday bump and added video. A wee bit lo-fi, taken on an iPhone... but if you put on your headphones you get a sense of the classic Martin dred tone. This one is headed to Reverb this weekend, so if you are interested please let me know and we can both save a few sheckles. Thanks. ~ Mike
