Default Gibson Deluxe tuners on an SG Special

Does anyone know if the tuner buttons are replaceable? I'm about to buy a 2016T and just don't like those sick green buttons.

Yes. You see vintage guitars all the time where the tuner knobs have crumbled and have been replaced in order to save the tuner proper. Typically it is done by an experienced technician or luthier. Look HERE.

Thanks, Bob.

So, although the tuning machines on the Gibson read "Gibson Deluxe", they are made by Kluson? If so, it follows that if I replaced the entire set of tuners that the screw holes would line up? (Maybe I would need to verify that with Kluson).

Actually, I think these are made by Grover. It's a re-pop of an old Kluson design, but there are hash marks on the housing that appear to be Grover in origin. I replaced a set of those on my SG Classic...identical/drop-in fit, except they say 'Grover' instead of Gibson.
