Default Different Saddle Material for Composite Acoustics?

I recently purchased a Composite Acoustics Hi Gloss Legacy and am very happy with it so far. I changed the Elixr nanowebs out for Daddario Ej16's and like the tone better. I also lowered the saddle a bit and now it plays very smoothly.
Now I am wondering if anyone has experimented with a different saddle material. The guitar comes with a carbon composite nut and saddle. Has anyone tried bone or tusk? If so, did you hear a change for the better or worse? Just wondering.

I had a few CAs 10 years ago and the saddles were black Tusq (they made that classic Tusq plink sound when dropped on a hard surface). Given how little Peavey has changed the design, and that you could reasonably market Tusq as composite too, you might already know the answer to your question.

I purchased my GX from MacNichols and they set it up with a bone saddle. After a year or so, I replaced it with a Black Diamond Saddle from Obbligato. A few months ago, I put the original saddle from CA back in.

Bottom line, not much difference, I like the original saddle. The Black Diamond was good (about the same as the original). The bone saddle got worn way too quickly, the black dye they used faded, and I prefer the sound of the composite saddles, but like I said, not a big difference. Choice of strings will have a much larger effect.

Back in 2009, Mike Stone, owner of MacNichol guitars was kind enough to send me one of his bone saddles to test, and about the same time the folks at Obligato also send me a few of their saddles so I did some experimenting with a few CA, and Rainsong models. What I found was that the tonal difference between bone and Tusq are fairly minor. As I recall, it was Bob Taylor who told me that he prefers bone over Tusq because it's more durable, so if this is a concern, than it's worth considering a MacNichol saddle, or a black diamond by Obligato.

BTW, few have as much experience modifying CF guitars as Mike Stone, maybe shoot him an email and ask his opinion. You can reach him though his website.
