Hello,

my name is Thomas Strieker and I´m the builder of the Leviora Guitars.

Hello and welcome to the forum Thomas... You are among friends!!! Your Leviora is without a doubt one of the most impressive guitars that I have seen!!!
In the videos it appears that there is a twist in the fretboard...Is this just camera angles?
Thanks to Kramster,(and Gumby), for introducing us to the Leviora...Awesome guitar Amigo...

Hello,

thank you for your words.
The guitar version you have seen has fanned frets but a non twisted fretboard with standard dimensions.

I recall that "somewhere" there was a mention, or speculation, of Leviora models built without the wooden bindings and possibly other embellishments. It was hoped that this would make the price more accessible.

Is there any more information, confirmation, or rebuttal on this?

– Deflection and tap tuned sound and backboard and tuned soundholes
– Stainless steel frets CNC machined with rounded tips
– Variable cone fretboard radius
– Neck joint bolt on, fingerboard bonded
– Adjustable truss rod
– Bone Nuts and saddles
– Gotoh 510 medium gold plated with TeflonŽ plated gear
– Strings: Elixir Nanoweb 80/20 Bronze 012“ - 056“

Thanks!

... I looked for information on Leviora's own site - because I'm in Europe myself - and didn't find it. And the only European pricing I found was for an all bells and whistles model.

I think the pricing for a "plain" Leviora, in Europe, might not be all that far from the price of imported Rainsongs.

According to the builders I discussed this with, as long as the builder uses high quality CF with minimal resin, and the entire guitar is CF, there should be no structural, or tonal changes, regardless of the build method.

Welcome,I have been looking at examples of your guitars for the last year or so. Very impressive, however I only see one nut width offered which is a bit wide. Do you offer the 1.75 width and 2 3/16 or 2 1/4 bridge spacing on a standard 12 fret? Also can the soundport be left Out?

Hi Thomas,

It will probably be a year or two away, but I'm already pretty sure my next guitar will be a Leviora. I definitely have a few questions.

1) I saw a picture here of one of your guitars with a rib/waist bevel, even though such an option does not appear on your website. Is that a standard option you offer? What is the charge for it?

2) Is the scale length for your 12-fret guitars exactly the same as for the 14-fret models? Are there any other scale lengths available (perhaps 24.9"/632 mm)?

3) What can you tell us about how Dragonbone differs from more commonly found carbon fiber fabrics?

4) Would it be possible to get locking (MG-T) versions of the Gotoh tuners you normally use?

5) I know you will install different types of pickups. But how customized can that get? Specifically, would you be willing to splice a DPA 4061 lavalier mic in place of the cardioid mic that comes on the K&K Trinity if I supplied the mic? I would also supply a bracket for mounting it on the soundboard.

By the way, you make beautiful guitars, Thomas. They look and sound amazing.

Hi Thomas,

I thought of another question.

6) How long does it take these days between the placing of an order and the shipping of the guitar?

Thanks.

P.S. Just realized that Thomas hasn't been been on the forum in more than 4 years. Bummer. :-(

Better ask him directly. The website has contact information.

- on the website, the sound port is listed as an optional extra.
- Looks as if the page on Dragonbone is in German only. Something about very thin fibers and possibly other materials, and manual work to get it right.
