Well the Tera Echo TE-2 arrived today. I jammed with it for about an hour...came up with rough ideas for two songs. It's a very inspirational pedal, meaning that it gives you ideas on where to go with your music. It's a cross between an reverb and delay pedal with a bunch of echo thrown in...It's a very nice sounding pedal and adds a lot. It was very easy to dial in a great sound that I can use as my starting point. Works great with either battery or AC adapter. It sounds very good with my guitar and amp rig, I'm glad I bought it.

My ears are ringing now, I have to take a break.

Yes I have bought a lot of stuff recently...it's because I'm finding great deals on prices and good quality stuff. Most of the stuff I've been buying is used, and comes with a nice discount off of new prices. To quote Richie Sambora, "When the good stuff is there, you gotta get it." This is so true. I found if I himmhaw around I miss out on great deals...the really good deals get snapped up fast, so you gotta make quick decisions. I've decided a long time ago I want a well stocked music writing and production in my home. Lately I've been more concerned about upgrading to better quality stuff. It'll pay off on the sound of my future recordings. I'm already seeing great results.

I've bought just about everything I can think of, and don't really need much else, so I'm just about done buying. Some of the stuff I bought on credit, so now I'm going into the pay off mode. I wanted to buy now because of the great prices I'm finding. If U.S. / China relations break down, you can expect prices to rise dramatically. Similar to what's happened in Europe with the VAT tax situation, prices will rise and some items will be very hard to buy. Also effective April 1st, Amazon is going to tack on sales tax to everything you buy there. So costs of goods will rise 7-8%.

So with all this in mind I thought the sooner I get stuff bought the better as prices are sure to rise.

That looks like a fairly full featured pedal. It was one of three I was looking at when went searching for a delay

I'm not sure what you mean when you say "Full Featured"...???

So what delay pedal did you end up getting ?? or is that a trade secret ??

Perhaps multi feature pedal is a better description since if features , an ambient delay, reverb and modulation all in one box.

Secret ha! no I had mentioned it already in a couple other threads in this forum, and didn't want to distract your thread.

So anyway because I have a pretty nice tube driven reverb and tremolo on my amp. I got the MRX Carbon Copy delay.

That looks like a very good choice for you, a lot of people are giving it 5 star reviews on Musician's Friend.

I don't have reverb or any effects on my amp, and I already have a BOSS DD7 digital delay box, but a friend of mine recommended the Tera Echo TE-2 to me. I gave it a listen on You Tube and thought the delay and reverb sounded much better that the DD7 alone. He also suggests using the DD7 and the TE-2 chained together for more unique sounds....I haven't tried that yet.

Anyhow I'm really happy with the sounds I'm getting with the TE-2... it sounds more like a delay with reverb and echo effects all mixed together. I consider it a very nice addition to my collection of pedals.
