Kinnaird Guitars--Going To Memphis
Just a few weeks away, so we thought it would be nice to share a bit of what we're bringing. Ryan has posted a couple of our F-1 models, which were completed not too long ago. Perhaps a pic or two of those could resurface.
Also, there is this, a little parlor guitar in White Oak and Engelmann Spruce. It is patterned after Grandad's guitar: And top: Thanks for looking. If you make it to Memphis, stop by our table and chat a bit. We'd also love for you to try out our instruments! Steve |

Looks great Steve, I think Grandad would be proud of that one, not to mention Grandma being swooped off her feet again!!!

Thanks folks! My wife reminded me today: 3 weeks till the festival.
Better get the neck on, and bridge, and tuners, and... Oh boy. Trevor, I'm glad you're coming all the way across the pond. Safe travels all! Steve |

I really like that you carried the purfling design to the back of the guitar too! This guitar is exciting just to look at!

Thanks are in order.
Jay, to get a "stunning" from someone who spends his time looking at amazing wood such as yourself, is high praise indeed. Thank you. Tom, your enthusiasm is again appreciated, as well as posting that pic! dcn, thanks! That black strip is actually very dark Brazilian rosewood. Material like this makes it clear why the wood is named Dalbergia nigra. And Joel, I'm stoked you like the purfling. Just following suit as Grandad's guitar was done like this. But it IS a lot of extra work. Bummer that you can't make it to the Memphis show. I was looking forward to visiting with you. Thanks again, Steve |

Beautiful guitars Steve (and Ryan) ... as usual!!! Please tell us what you think of the Oak guitar after you get her strung up. Its sad that the buying public won't look at Oak more seriously because its a GREAT tone wood. I would put it in the Mahogany-esque camp tonally but much more balanced bass to treble without the strong mid range bias that Mahogany can sometimes have.
