I am always amazed by how much nicer guitars look with professional photos. A big thank you to my wife who takes wonderful photos and endures me looking over her shoulder as she does.
Some more teasers: Brazilian- Sapele- Cocobolo- Ziricote-

I really like the rosette on the ziricote. All of them are nice, but that is my favourite. As alway, understated elegance Chris.
You should take your photographer out for a nice dinner to thank her for all the hard work.

We are getting close now. Memphis is less than three weeks away!
Brazilian- Sapele- Cocobolo- Ziricote- Look close at the picture of the sapele guitar and you can see some of the color of the bois de rose fingerboard coming through.

Here is a look at the backs of the guitars coming to Memphis.
Brazilian- Sapele- Cocobolo- Ziricote- I want to give a huge thank you to Bob for all his hard work putting this show together- from organizing the event to getting the word out and promoting the luthiers' work non-stop, Bob is working overtime to make sure this show is going to be top shelf. Everyone needs to come out and experience the Memphis Acoustic Guitar Festival for themselves!

Tops don't always get the glory that backs & sides do since they don't have the same glam factor, but they are just as important (if not more) in the roll of sound as their beauty queen counterparts.
Brazilian- This is a tight grained adirondack spruce top. Sapele- This is an old german spruce top that came from Martin and was marked 1983 in pencil. Cocobolo- This is a western red cedar top that rang like a gong when tapped in raw form. Ziricote- This is a carpathian spruce top. I have always loved how creamy and finely textured carpathian spruce is.
