Binding... got it bent on the third try. Needless to say I was having difficulty with leopardwood. cellphone pics follow

Binding... not the best way to do it but it works.

What we have here is leopardwood/maple binding and maple/cocobolo purfling. Yes, I didn't do the shallow purfling channel. I see now how it would be easier.

Interesting with the plastic foil! I´ve never seen it before. Does it work well?

It's stretch wrap. I used it on my first guitar and it worked. The binding and purfling looked tight when I left it to dry. We shall see.

I'm a non pro for sure. It just happens to be my favorite hobby. My next favorite hobby is watching all the great builders/artists on this site.

The other side that was done a week earlier all cleaned up.

Looks like a bit of inspiration from Christo.

The body looks quite deep or is it just the photos? What is the body depth at the tail and heel Nathan?

Thanks, it's like xmas every time I unwrap it. The lower bout depth is 4.1875" and the neck is 3.5"

Okay you might just miss the problem I have with my parlours as yours is about 106mm and 90mm mine run a little deeper at 112mm and 100mm and I can't get a case for it unless I get a dready case, always a solution to a problem but I do wonder if I should just build them a little thinner.

Binding binding binding.... top is done. I do have some gaps but they are only minor.
