That is one of the most beautiful rosettes I've seen yet! I can't wait to see how it turns out with the sunburst.

Default Staining the top!

Finish sanded and wiped clean with naphtha

Wiping on lightly tinted alcohol. 1 drop in half a pint to begin

8 or 9 coats of alcohol on bare wood adding a drop of amber or tobacco to each coat

Sprayed with a sealer coat. I(Greg) plan to add a bit more gradation later by spraying when I can scrape it back off the sealed abalone

This build is really coming together nicely--all the details complement each other so well. Really like the choice of wood for the endgraft--great contrast with the sapwood.....

Default Greg German guitar demo

Ok folks, this has been a long time coming. I've been getting to know this guitar for the last 4 months and I am happy to report that it is awesome! It definitely has a unique look to it, but we all want tone with our looks right?

We'll this guitar has tone to spare. Lot's of sustain (in the demo below, at the end you can hear that when I cut it off it was still ready to keep going for some time), and some really clear powerful highs. This guitar sounds really good capo'd up, and the cut away let's you play pieces with the capo way up the neck. Being a deep body, the balance tilts toward the bass, which I like for most of my stuff. The bass notes are clear and powerful.

It's a great sounding guitar with a beautiful unique look. My hats off to Greg German for making an all around outstanding guitar.

Here is a demo I posted on youtube. Please excuse the mistakes, I didn't feel like doing a bunch of takes.
