Welcome!! Love it when a new business gets off the ground, and wish you tremendous success. Also really appreciate forum sponsors, especially those who seem genuinely excited to participate. I'm exhausted, or I would become a backer tonight, but need to read the levels over to make sure I'm in at a level that makes sense for me.

Hope the forum is a successful spot to hang out!! If you have a Facebook page, let us know so we can check it out, hit the "Like" button and share!

I became a supporter yesterday for one wood and one abalone capo.

Thus far I've had very bad luck with internet startups like this delivering timely. I'm still waiting for my DVD of The Wrecking Crew Movie (was supposed to arrive last June) and while my Indigogo Beat Buddy pedal arrived 5 months later, there is still no properly functioning windows software (bad beta only) and no Mac version at all (I use a Mac).

SO.... will you realistically be able to meet your December delivery? My fingers are crossed....

Just signed on this a.m......good luck with your efforts! I'm on the $35 kickstart....wood. There wasn't a place to make a choice between woods and finishes...do I understand that Thalia Inc will be in touch to confirm choices?
Many thanks,
Fred

There's a survey that is sent out after the project closes to confirm details. As the money increased, options opened. For example, I can now choose between 3 different finishes instead of two which was all there was when I signed on. I can also choose to have subtle engraving on the wood and also another type of wood for the same reason.

They'll ask you this later and usually, they confirm addresses close to shipping as some people may move by the time the item is ready and they do not want to ship to a wrong address.

I used to do that when I was playing strictly solo classical guitar and vocals weren't an issue and chord shapes were a lot easier. Just wasn't an issue with nylon strings, and I still seldom use a capo, even when playing steel string, but there are times I need one for the chord shapes I want to use for a particular song.

The ability to do both is good. Keep up the work and good luck.

And keep a capo around for those times you just want to be good to yourself.

Default Can we really deliver in December?

@DavidE has a very good point. I've had some bad experiences on kickstarter myself, with projects that deliver very late; in fact I have one that I am still waiting for that is a year behind schedule. We certainly have our work cut out for us to ship in early December, but we waited a very long time and took out as much risk as we could before we launched on kickstarter.

I had hoped to launch on kickstarter last November when we had finished development and were ready to make our tooling. But because of some bad experiences, I decided to wait until after the tooling was made, just in case anything went wrong. Well, the first parts did not work the way I wanted. So we kept making modifications and refinements to the tools and it took us another 9 months until all of the parts came out perfectly. We were finally able to build up a "perfect unit" in late August that was made from the actual production tools. At that point, we decided to launch a kickstarter to fund our initial production run.

So, we have already begun production of all of the components. I placed that order on the 2nd day of the campaign when I saw that we had something people really wanted. Assembly will begin next week and then I will be traveling to China right after our kickstarter ends to oversee assembly. Then we will send everything to California for final assembly of the inlays and final test. So again, we have a lot of work in front of us, and there are a lot of things that could go wrong, but I feel confident that we are ready to execute and that we've mitigated as much risk as we could. So wish us luck. I am going to do whatever it takes to make it happen. I want to build a brand that guitarists trust.

BTW - We just posted 9 new videos of guitarists using our capos on our kickstarter site. So if you want to see players using it and doing some really cool stuff, check it out!

Thanks,
Chris

So how cool is this capo with plumeria lei engraving going to look on my K24ce which has plumeria lei inlays? You'll soon see! (I'm a backer)
