Default Would you buy a solid wood GS Mini if taylor made them?

I'm wondering if there is a demand for a solid wood gs mini series? Would you pay 800-900 for it if it had the es system, great tone wood, body binding, gloss finish...etc. what are your thoughts?

I didn't vote for any,
Here the thing , I don't think Taylor Is into Fabricating a solid wood arch back guitar . Its differant than The Lamanate, back process , I don't see it happening, But it would be nice if they prove me wrong

I'd definitely take one for a test drive.

The beauty of the GS Mini, is it is so robust and pretty maintenance free. Take it anywhere. And it sounds just wonderful. I wouldn't want to try to dress it up.

Cameron Diaz jokes around with the guys, smokes cigars, hits the premieres, and is still beautiful. I would hate to try to turn her into a gwynneth paltrow.

I don't like gwyneth paltrow.

I love my new hog mini :-), was just curious about the possibility. Laminate or not, the mini's sound is exception for its size and cost. So do you think an all wood parlor would be more feasible as a travel sized solid wood taylor traveler?

All solid Taylor GS Mini...........why not, bring it on.

I love Gwyneth, by the way.

So so with Diaz.

Or....since the ltd's seem to be selling so well, maybe offer different tops. The different laminanted sides are nice looking, but don't change the sound. If Taylor couldn't make an all wood mini due to bracing and the bowled back, then how adout a cedar topped classical model. Or an adirondack spruce top? I still think It should come with a binding of some sort for protection since it's meant to be traveled with.

I'd like to have a GS Mini one day, I like them a lot. That said, I wouldn't be willing to pay an upcharge for the solid wood on the Mini simply because I probably wouldn't play it that much. That's just me. I've read lots of posts here from people stating they would be willing.

Might just be me, but I play my mini more than any of my guitars. It's my goto guitar when I'm at my laptop practicing, or on the couch, or if I go to a BBQ.

I like the Mini an awful lot. I don't have one yet, but it's definitely on my horizon.
While I like the thought of an all solid model, I don't know if I'd be willing to pay the up charge for it or not. It wouldn't get too much play time either way and as its use for me would be a couch/ camping guitar, the low maintenance and durability of the laminate is very appealing.
Cool idea though for sure.

I'm not saying that taylor would do away with the laminate variant mini, just that they would have a more "premium model" of the mini. Most of my friends told me they doubted they would play a mini that much if they bought one. Yet I have to peel my mini out of their hands every time they come over. My main grips aren't even if the mini is solid or not TBO. Just figured I would test the waters and do a poll on an all solid model.

I really just want better electronic options built in(ES), maybe a cutaway, binding, and better tuners. I would pay 599.99 for that over the LTD backs they have recently released.

Now that I have a mini, I realize just how much I needed a guitar of this size, sound, playability, and portability...Plus I'm greedy enough to want it improved lol

::sigh::

The third option should be "I could NOT care less"

(End of Nitpick)

As for a solid wood GS-Mini; I would try one, sure. BUT, I doubt I would pursue one, because:

a) GS-Mini's are designed to be more "wood neutral" than other designs - in my experience playing a few types, the variety of wood matters less with them. The arched back, bracing, etc. So I suspect that solid b&s would have less of an effect. By the way, this really is a compliment to Taylor - the consistent performance of GS-Mini's is impressive.

b) My GS-Mini is a leave-out, beater guitar - that's what it is perfect for, in my family. Anything that increases concerns about value would be a bad thing. I love the fact that my son leaves it leaning on the chair next to him so he can play a few minutes between doing pages of homework...

I don't mind the composite woods. But, I would like a 1 3/4 nut. Then I'll buy one!

I would consider buying one.

Now, for all of you who voted for the last option...since you could care less, why don't you?
