Default Taylor ES T5 T5z Guitar Volume Tone Bass Treble Pot Potentiometer Replacement

This thread covered repairing the switch in a T5z and morphed into fixing a bad volume control.

The best pot I could find for the T5z required shortening the shaft on a belt sander but was otherwise a good fit.

I think I've found an acceptable substitute for the horizontal 9mm snap mount pots used on Taylor ES Systems for acoustic guitars. It does not have a center detent, but seems otherwise to be a perfect physical fit and in-stock with lots of inventory at Mouser. It is a Panasonic EVU-E2JFK4B14, Mouser part number 667-EVU-E2JFK4B14.

I also bought a solder vacuum so that I can rework these boards without destroying the part I am attempting to remove. This one got decent reviews on Amazon, works well in my now limited experience, and can be bought directly from the importer here:
