Yamaha FG 461S
Just moved into a new office and would like a cheapish acoustic for noodling on.And to leave at work
Don't fancy taking my D15-M and my LX1 gets noodled to death at home Seen a Yamaha FG 461S for sale...Can't play before I play so its a gamble. Thoughts...I fancy an oldish Yammy...I have heard some good things about them. Anyone own one? I'm open to suggestions but my only stipulation is it must have a solid top. Cheers G

Fg461S
SPECIFICATIONS:
FG461S Year(s) Sold: 1993-99 * Original MSRP(US$): $679.00 * Top: Solid Spruce * Back / Sides: Indian Rosewood * Neck: Mahogany * Fingerboard: Rosewood * Bridge: Rosewood * Color(s): Natural * Tuners: Gold * So, solid top, yes. Those were nice, lot of finish and the neck is the big risk. If its cheap enough I'd say go for it.

Just sold a FG460-12SA 12 string last week. It was a great guitar and played easily. Yamaha's are generally pretty good instruments at their price point.
