A late 1800's-to-early 1900's smaller-than-O-size Martin, Washburn, Bay State or similar, designed for 'gut' strings (and never having been 'converted to steel' or strung with other than gut) in excellent condition.

Or a new luthier-built guitar made to the size/specifications of the above guitars.

OR an 1800's-early 1900's german, swedish, english or french 'romantic era' guitar but with a slotted headstock with side-mounted tuners, not the solid 'gumby' headstocks of many such guitars with top-mount friction pegs.

Default Olson

I’d bribe Jim Olson out of retirement.

I dealer representing more than forty luthiers, it wouldn't be politic for me to chose one, but as a collector I covet Antonio Torres.

I'd go back in time, buy a number of the best brand new Brazilian Rosewood Martin D28's from the 1930's, 40's and 50's and sell them today. I'd make a bunch a money!!!

R. Taylor style 2 slothead, cedar top

or

Lowden F25 cedar over rosewood

or

any pre-1900 Martin

(each of those is achievable for about $4K so it's not a crazy amount - they are out of my sweet spot for guitar spending so I admire them from a distance.

I have a Córdoba Esteso. It is a forever guitar for me. But if money were no object I would love to have a Córdoba Master Series Torres too.

Either:

1. The Bob Dylan signature Gibson SJ200 I played last year, and which whispered into my ear, "Don't worry about not liking the flashy patterned double pick guard. I am the most perfect fit to you, as a player, that you will ever experience." But I didn't have the money, and that one has gone, so given the legendary Gibson variability, I think I lost my chance.

2. A Taylor K24, but my 914ce (bought secondhand at half the price) runs it close enough for me not to yearn too much.
