I was hoping to find out more about the documentation for the provenance.

I know that you bought this from Buffalo Bros--an awesome store. Is this where you were told the above-quoted information? (I ask because even honest, responsible sellers like Buffalo Bros can be misinformed.) When you look through the F-holes, what does it say (e.g. "Made in Czech Republic"?)?

My understanding is that some of the Stanford (Toni Götz) instruments were made in the Furch factory, and many others were outsourced to China... Any additional background on this specific guitar that would help confirm that it's indeed a Furch-made instrument?

BTW, I personally am not bothered by someone bumping their ad once a day. You pay for the priveledge to list your guitar here, and so long as you're being fair to others in your bumping frequency, bring on the cheesy character-limit-busting bumps.

Happy to address some of your questions...Bob Paige of Buffalo Bros guitars who I've known for over 20 years told me that it was made in the Czech Republic by Mr Furch and Co. And that it "Was Not" one of the Asian imports. And that very few were sent stateside. There is no signiture inside or label stating that. Was Bob misleading me? I'd like to believe No! Is it a prototype, an early model? Maybe...Unfortunately I can't say for sure. All I know is he has always has been very honest and straight forward with me. And after playing the guitar for several hours the tone, playability it's fit and finish and Bob's straight-shooter history allowed me to purchase it with "No Regrets"...I still feel the same way today! Unfortunatly due to these questions, many people have been on the fence in regards to buying it. In all my years buying and selling etc I have never had a "problem" selling an instrument! Although "All" were known or mostly "known" brands or builders..Taylors' Breedlove, Gibson, Lowden, Larrivee, Weber, Turner, Doolin and even a Weissenborn. Never a problem...and not over 7,000 looks. Usually gone before too long! So...that's the story! (honestly) Maybe I'm just destined to keep this for now. I was only selling to help with my upcoming wedding. As far as negative senseless comments go.. If someone (you know who you are) don't like my word play or anything else, please either don't read my ad..or you can send me a PM. Of course intelligent curious comments and inquiries can always post. Lets be supportive and helpful to each other in this GREAT forum of instruments and music lovers...By the way I'm taking the high road and will delete my comments to our resident hillbilly...Play On!!
