You are Correct!

The variatone switch was removed; those things REALLY eat up your signal output! In its place is a by-pass micro-toggle that sends the output of the pickups straight to the amp, bypassing the tone and volume controls. Different pots on both tone and volume controls, coil-taps on the Seymour Duncan pickups so I can approximate a decent single-coil tone. Fatter fretwire, and of course, the Kahler locking nut vibrato unit - which was a "last ditch effort" to get the guitar to stay in tune for more than 1/2 a song! Mission accomplished, albeit by broaching every bit of "vintage resale" potential... Plays like a dream, sounds terrific through any amp I've run it through, stays in tune very nicely.... still in pretty cherry shape, cosmetically. Your 335 is lovely...

At the moment, I have not guitar specific amplifier as I mostly just plug my PRS Custom 24 straight into my pedals and recording gear.
I did own these over the years (in order of acquisition): Late 1990s Tech 21 Trademark 60 combo amp 2000 Fender Hot Rod Deluxe combo amp Mid '90s Mesa/Boogie DC-2 combo amp 1966 Fender BandMaster head Early 1970s Fender Princeton Reverb Amp 1962 Fender Concert Amp 2014 Swart STR-Tremolo These days my Markbass Minimark with a tc electronic MOJOMOJO does the job when I need to amplify the PRS as I am trying to sell the guitar in favor of just using my acoustic guitars.

i saw one of these yesterday and, while it was beautiful, it is almost double the regular price.
65 deluxe reverb reissue limited with sunburst wood. also saw another with, what looked to be, mahogany. that one was beautiful also but again way too much $$$$. http://www.instrumentalmusic.com/p-2...celestion.aspx play music!

In hindsight, I actually wish I'd sprung for the 410, because it has four channels instead of two, and I switch back and forth between more than two different voices, each with changes to the knobs too. Not a huge deal, just means I have to keep notes once I've experimented and found something I really like.

Thank you very much. Now that I think of it, I did have it refretted by the best guy in town (Mike Koontz) in 2002 and I did specify larger than stock frets although I can't remember the exact spec.

I've downsized to a couple of odd balls: circa 50's se6L6 recordplayer conversion and 1949 boat anchor pp6v6 monoblock. Often used with the board to set up as dual mono w/d rig that uses a variety of cabs (depending on rattling the house or whisper bedroom...from a set of 5, 8, 10 to 12" ceramic and alnicos but my fav is a diy over-sized cab.

Yes it is! In its place is a Strymon Flint which offers the same "vibremolo/tremato" but without the dreaded DC thumping (particularly when the intensity is turned up much) that the Concert Amp produces. The 4 10" speakers didn't look too happy when it was cranked.
What even more amazing, however, is that I had all those amps in the first place - I am a bassist!
