I sure don't like the price, but will try a set or two. I change strings at the drop of a hat; it is rare for me to keep a set on longer than a month. As soon as they sound the slightest bit dull, off they come. I buy them 10 sets at a time.

Just decided to try the nickel bronze strings out roughly 10 days ago on my Bourgeois OM/SS with Italian and EIR. Normally, my go to strings are John Pearse PB 600L's. My impressions of the nickel bronze are that they are loud, bright, and have more high overtones relative to the PB's. However, they seem to be lacking some bass, particularly the low E string. I like them, but will be going back to the PB's on this guitar.

I like Monels on my Mahogany guitar - NB's on everything else.
However ... I received a set of Martin Titaniums to trial last June. I put them on the guitar that sounded best with NB 11-52's. At first I thought the balance was just slightly off with the different gauge. But they are still on that guitar and sounding excellent. I have a 12-string set of NB's that I haven't tried yet.

Interesting read. I have a set of NB ready to put on my Taylor 414-R. I've never had them on any guitar so I'm really curious how they will sound.
Following that, I have a set of John Pearse PB to try - never had them before either. Dan

Love the NBs on my D-18 and HD-28V. Not good though on the OM-28 Marquis, or the Lowden - those two need PB.

My experience is that they sound best on vintage guitars, 1960s or older, but I do use them on some of my current built guitars and they sound equally as good.
My list of guitars I use NB on: 2014 Fairbanks Smeck model 2008 Huss and Dalton custom 00 2014 Waterloo X braced model 1964 J45 Gibson 1934 Gibson L-Century 2016 Bourgeois L-DBO Presentation 2016 Farida OT22 1943 and 44' Gibson LG-2s The rest of my guitars either get D'Addario EJ16s or Santa Cruz low tension Parablics.

I play D'Addario NB from time to time. To me, they're not as warm and maybe not as loud as PB strings, but there is a nice balance to them. Maybe that's why they sound better on smaller body guitars. And for what it loses in overtones, it gains in overall clarity, so I prefer them on guitars that have this sound already (i.e. not a boomy, rosewood dread).

Nothing weird about it. We all hear things differently. And strings are a great (and relatively inexpensive way) to change up a sound until you get a combination that you like.

I have them on my 000-28 and love them on that guitar.
I have a custom Eastman (LG-2 clone) and have Monels on that one after having mostly EJ-16's on it before. Might try the NB's on the Eastman once the Monel set wears out.

They're my go-to on the CEO-7. I also like them on the 000-15sm but Monels rule the roost on that guitar.
I haven't tried them on my J-35 but probably should. They'd be quite the departure from the Gibson Masterbuilt 80/20s I always end up going back to. Nice to have so many great strings to choose from these days.
