Indeed!

A lot of sound from such a little package.

No pics here, either, but you folks have been reading my praise for my E8OM for several years now...and it's going nowhere. A couple of years ago, I was lusting for a Martin OM-28V (and it still calls to me...what can I say? I've never owned a Martin and want one), but the E8OM covers the rosewood territory so well already that I'm thinking any Martin purchase is more likely to be an 00-18V.

Cheers,

Dirk

I'm a huge Eastman fan and have had many over the last 5 years.
These are the four I currently own:
E20-OO - E-8OM - E20-OM - AC-822

Congrats, hope it's a keeper. Like all brands they aren't all amazing, some are better than others. But, out of the dozen or so I've owned only two maybe three weren't that good.

Here is my 2012 Eastman E20D. Nothing I can really say that hasn't been said before.
It is a beauty and is just a remarkable sounding instrument. I added a Baggs Lyric which suits the guitar perfectly.
I am a lefty so it was a custom order and it has Mother of Pearl inlays which makes it a little unique I suppose.
Being a lefty I don't get a lot of opportunities to play many different guitars in the stores but my local shop did have a few lefties in and I was excited to see a D-28. After 3 minutes I put it down, smiled and went home to drool over my E20D. My personal preference obviously but the sound of the D-28 didn't come close to the sweet sounds of my Eastman.

Oh, and I also has an Eastman MD305 mandolin (equipped with the mando K&K) that sounded quite nice (very dry and woody). However, I had to move that mandolin on to a new owner due to the ridiculously small fretwire that Eastman uses on their mandolins. It's just didn't have the playability I wanted.

What is up with tiny frets! Why do producers still use tiny wire on any instruments?!

Must be a geetaring thing - 'artists' on stage using multiple guitars often in standard tuning, so ya can understand people being influenced by this, and it seems to have become the norm for a lot of folks
Think about orchestral players with a number of different instruments each - now there's a fine mess.

Here is my E20ss, next to its Gibson J50 Brother. The burst is one of the best I have ever scene on any guitar, regardless of makers, and although it looks like a J45, it sounds more like a Martin D35 to me. Really nice guitar:

About a month ago I got a pre-owned E10OM love it (no pics yet). It came out of left field as I was looking for something like a GA. I kept going back to the shop to play the E10OM, and finally took it home. I like it so much that my practice time has increased and I've barely touched my other guitars (mostly electrics). I'm trying to learn some finger picking on it, which I am new to.

This guitar lead me to AGF. Now I'm plotting an Eastman 00.
