I sold my last guitar because I wanted to have just one guitar.

Because I was, to my great surprise and delight, finally able to find someone who actually wanted a Zager .

I discovered that I liked listening to other people play a 12-string a lot more than I enjoyed playing one myself.

Moved from steel string guitars to nylon. Plus, they were expensive and the cost difference between them and the lesser expensive nylon did not make me a fingerstyler from a fingerpicker.

My M.O. is convoluted.
I enjoy working on guitars and I like trying lots of different guitars. The downside is that I end up hassling with lots of guitars coming and going. The upside is that I get to try lots of guitars and find really good deals. So, I will buy one, try it and either keep it or sell it off. My main Taylor was bought new but I got a fantastic deal on it. My Taylor 12-string needed a minor repair and my Gibson electric needed a total museum-quality restoration. So, each has a different story. I recently sold off a Taylor 110 that I bought to fix up, specifically intending to try it out, and sell it back off.

The acoustic guitars that I moved over the last couple of years were used as trade-ins to acquire another guitar that I wanted more than the ones I traded.

Tired of fighting with it, to try and get it to do what it was never going to do.

I traded these 2
1996 Taylor 422 Quilted Maple - beautiful condition, just couldn't bond with that small, shallow body sound. 1999 Taylor 355 jumbo 12-string - needed pre-NT neck reset, I also have Guild and Martin jumbo 12's. For this guitar built by Australian luthier Dan Dubowski.

To pay a medical bill. Seems like every time I save and get a guitar I like, something goes wrong with something and I need the money.
