Default Another NGD

It's been over a year since my last NGD. GAS is insidious, I say. As all of my current acoustics were rosewood bodied, I decided I needed a mahogany bodied guitar. I've watched a number of sites for over a month and the other day I pulled the trigger on an '07 Gibson J-45 '68 reissue. Some people might not care for the aesthetics, but I do. It sounds mighty fine, too.

Gibson is kinda funny with what they call reissues as, my new Gibby doesn't have the adjustable bridge and the nut width is 1 3/4".

Anyhow, here it is:

Wow! When I first posted, the pic showed up.

Visualize... It's Heritage Cherry with a white pickguard.

Yeah, Photobucket is now in transition.
A pic that shows up for one person may not show up to another.

Up till a couple weeks ago 3rd party-hosted pics showed up for everyone.

I love it! Not your ordinary J-45, that's for sure! Today seems to be a day for new hog guitars - cool purchase. Congrats!

I actually think it's $399 now to re-up with Photobucket...

By the way, love the Heritage Cherry J-45 '68 Reissue w/ the white p-g!

That is one great looking guitar. I am interested in the J 45 and want to compare some in a upcoming purchase.

Tis a beauty, Dan. I'm glad that Gibson put a wider neck on yours and skipped the ABR.

My old buddy Tim had one of the originals and I remember it as a fine-sounding guitar. It's the only cherry J 45 I ever have seen. I think Tift Merrit owns and plays it currently.

Play it in good health.

Very cool guitar!! And I do think it's a really cool look. I can't get away from the traditional tobacco sunburst but I can definitely see what attracted you to that one. Enjoy the heck out of it!
