Me too...it looks great and the recent sound clips posted comparing it to a L13 and 814ce were impressive. I can't handle the cost of this sunburst model in the short term (I suspect north of $3k), but I'm also too curious to not ask how much one would go for just like Tof's, but with the sunburst finish also on the front of the headstock. Tof or Ted, can you say, whether publicly or by pm?

I notice the location of the neck strap pin. Seems odd due to the neck/body design, but as long as it works, should be good. Savoy owners...any issues with this approach when using a strap?
I have used a strap on mine and the button location works just fine for me, Tom

Wow the burst Savoy is simply gorgeous! It also appears to be a full gloss top, which is my preference. I didnt know a gloss top was an option. I would also be curious what the upcharge would be.

Yeah Doubleneck, my thoughts exactly. I just upgraded my order. Tof, thanks for all those pictures confirming I did the right thing!!! Apparently it was your guitar that alerted me to the sunburst possibility in the first place. Again, thanks!

As far as price goes, Ted said the option was "pricey." He can explain further with numbers if he likes, but from my perspective, the extra investment is low compared to the value received.

Which is my option about instruments in general. Even "pricey" instruments are the cheap when you compare them to other activities and things. If you play it enough, there's no better value on the planet than a fine instrument.

It's the full gloss as much as the burst that takes it to a new level. Really approaches the beauty of wood?

That sunburst is amazing! Still waiting to see a cutaway option on the El Capitan as a consideration for my main guitar.

Yeah, the El Capitan with a cutaway, that sunburst finish (and on headstock), and a different headstock design than currently offered would be awesome. At least the smaller Savoy hits all those marks for me.

No!! No cutaway, love the El Capatan headstock! Sunburst and cheaper.

Fantastic little guitar, not much to add except that pictures don't do her justice!
Here are a few new ones from today:

Yowza, that is one gorgeous guitar. I would make just one change though, I would like to see the headstock color matched to the body.

Yeah, absolutely. It was what I mentioned too in a post above in asking you and/or Tof what it would cost overall.

The faceplate looks much better in the flesh. Black would have been nice though (I looooove black headstocks!). Not a big fan of sunburst headstocks...

Anyway... I don't think it's top secret, the cost for a sunburst was 500$ for my Savoy, no idea if a different faceplate color would cost more. This finish isn't done internally by Blackbird. If you're as shallow as I am, totally worth it

Money well spent, but it's easy to spend someone else's money!
