Default Coolest car you've driven or ridden in. And go!

I started a "How fast have you ever driven or ridden in a car thread," and I was amazed at all of the cool cars that y'all have ridden in or driven.

So being a car guy, I was curious...what was the coolest car you've ever driven or ridden in? It doesn't have to be the most expensive or exotic, but it can be. I don't care if you owned it.

For me, the coolest car I ever drove was my dad's old Mercedes 240D. It was a 4 on the floor, and a whopping 65hp.

It was horrible for in-town traffic; however on the open road, I swear the thing shifted into beast mode at around 45 mph. Once you got it up there, it was hard to tame. The thing wanted to run...and run fast. It was difficult to keep it below 80 (no cruise control). I loved that car.

I've never ridden in any exotics, but I've seen my fair share.

How about you? Coolest car you've driven or ridden in. And go!

Drove several M6 BMW's, almost bought one until I found out what the insurance was - wow! Also a couple of M3 and M5, some big block Corvette's from the 60's, a few '23 T Bucket hot rods (one with 6-71 blown Hemi - amazingly powerful!), my 12 second '65 Mustang (not bad for a high school kid on a budget!), Porsche 911, been in a couple of Ferrari's but not driven, drove 3 Winston Cup cars at Texas Motor Speedway, I guess that's about it - so far...

Or this one:

The T-Bird is much more reliable, though.

There are lots of "cool" cars out there but the one that I find to be most evocative is the 65 Vette. That car is like great guitar music.

I used to drive a 1964 Lincoln Continental Limo, short stretch (all they did in those days), burgundy, with burgundy leather interior, suicide doors...

VERY cool!

I went on a job with three other limos, all basic black caddies, to drive Linda Ronstadt and Neil Young & their crews around. Everyone wanted to ride with me!

Very cool!

Well, My brothers and I were into muscle cars., so we had Corvettes, Mustangs, Chevelles, Challenger, Cuda, etc.

But the coolest I've been around is my colleague's custom built roadster. He designed and built it himself, landing the car on the cover of several magazines and winning a national title. It was his life's work and took about 20 years to design and build by hand.

It's appraised just under a million bucks so it was pretty extraordinary.

Its an open wheel roadster in the style of an original Cobra, but more European.

Coolest for me was my old 1982 Jaguar series III XJ6. It was finished in a pastel yellow with a dark blue leather interior with an especially striking wood set.
The car was beautiful to me, and I could not believe it when I happened upon it for sale because I'm a long time Jaguar person, and this car was just as I would have ordered it if I had a time machine and went back and placed an order.

A close second is my 1983 Pininfarina Azzurra, which is a Fiat Spider 2000.
Triple black with black leather. Wanted one as a kid, and it only took 30 plus years to get it.
