Default Does really good music make you smile (Ukulele content)?

James Hill playing his original piece titled "Skipping Stone" has never ceased to bring a smile to my face.

Thanks, Larry. That definitely put a smile on my face. It's a great little tune and killer playing.

Default 2 things:

1. Good music makes me smile, no matter what instrument is used. Good music is good music.
2. James Hill is quite the musician, whether he's playing the ukulele, or PLAYING the ukulele. (His video on chopsticks being used with the ukulele is incredible!) I'm trying to incorporate percussive beats on the uke like he does with "Billie Jean".

I'll occasionally smile if I manage to impress myself while playing, but I don't smile much for music unless im at a concert. I remember my facial muscles hurting after Bruce Springsteen and John Mayer concerts, just because I was so in the moment, enjoying every bit of it. Music can make me shed a tear or two, but I don't really smile much. Maybe if I'm listening to Waiting on a Sunny Day by the boss.. Or the last song on Abbey Road. That little bit " Her majesty's a pretty nice girl, but she doesn't have a lot to say. Her Majesty's a pretty nice girl but she changes from day to day. I wanna tell her that I love her a lot, but i gotta get a belly full of wine. Her Majesty's a pretty nice girl and some day im gonna make her mine. Some day im gonna make her mine"

Seems to out of place after the whole medley. Just a fun little tune by McCartney, that'll make me smile

I had just gotten off work feeling tired and quite frankly, grumpy.

Now that I have watch that video, as soon as I get done typing this reply (with a smile on my face) I am going to log off the AGF and grab my guitar.

Thanks for the post Larry
