Anybody try the 5150III 15watt head?
Only had 5 or 10 minutes with it, but I really dug the 1/4 power switch. I've been considering a blackstar 1 watt, but a 5150 operating at 3 & 3/4 watts is intriguing! The "clean" channel, and yes that word needs to be bracketed with quotation marks, is about perfect for me at low gain settings.
Anybody play with one? I think it's well worth the $700 street price. It would be much better for my playing style than a Fender DDRI, and costs less. Of course it's only a head, but it's switchable between 4, 8, and 16 so I can use any cab I own. A 4 x 12 would be more than enough for any situation I will face before my demise.

I have played the 5153 50 watt EVH and love it. I'll bet the 15 watt is awesome, however.....no clean channel.

I used to own an original 5150 2 X 12 combo. Rated only 60 watts, but so loud I never played it past 4! Wish I still had it!

Yeah. But the Blue was so very useable. I could live it. It's more the price tag that puts me off.
