I use, prefer, recommend and endorse John Pearse strings, not only on my guitars but on my mandolins, mountain dulcimers and banjos as well. It was a major oversight to leave them off your list.

Elixers at the moment but interested in exploring the options (just bought a set of Pearse after reading this thread )

I got turned on to John Pearse a few years ago from comments on this forum, mostly I think from Wade Hampton Miller I believe. Anyway, I have done the typical "try it and see" with other strings, but my absolute favorite is the John Pearse lights. I used to use mediums but arthritis dictates a lighter guage, and since I play plugged in almost exclusively, I find little sonic difference
