Lightbulb Hardshell Guitar case

Any suggestions for a decent guitar case for around 100 bucks. The Durofoam case I bought with it, I loved at first, I would like to have something that provides better protection and also is better in winter with humidity. The original case is starting to show some wear too.
Thanks,
Jim

Start shopping my friend

Even those 55 dollar cases are pretty good cases. They also come in tweed if you are so inclined. I kinda like those silver creek cases.

Gotta say that Silver Creek makes one of the best in the under-$100 category!

I agree, I have had good luck with the Silver Creeks.

The one common complaint I see posted with these case's is the smell of fresh clue.

I have five of these case's only one had the heavy clue smell.

The fix, I put it in the garage for a week with the lid open and the smell was gone.

A great case for under a $100 bucks

Silver Creek Dreadnought

Do you think it would fit a slop shouldered dread?

I like Gators. Great cases for a reasonable price.

Alvarez cases are pretty good for $89 at Musician's Friend with free shipping. Nice plush padding. I found a slightly used on for $65 for my ne Alvarez Grateful Dead. they re not the highest uality, but they look great n afford great potection for th money. I would say tht hey protect as well as a Gibson case, but the Gibson being better ulit, costs 3X much.

The Guardian cases are really nice and they may or may not be the company making the MF Silver Creek cases. But here is one beside the TKL Martin case costing three times more. The TKL case isn't three times better IMO and I've owned several of each.

Hi guit3090…

We've bought quite a number of Musician's Friend house brand hardshell cases over the years and been quite pleased with them.

I just bought a Fender Tweed Archtop Dreadnought case #099-6203-300 for my new BR-140CE Blueridge I have on order,I just got the case today in the mail, it looks to be a really nice case. I gave $100.65/Free Shipping for it on Amazon. When I purchased it , I thought it may be a vinyl that looked like tweed, but I was surprised when I opened it,and it was indeed real tweed, its a goregeous case, hope it holds up well. I've got my Blueridge on order, can't wait to get it! here is the link to the case
