12-fret short scale Victor Dick cutaway - SOLD
Here's what it sounds like: http://soundcloud.com/ustwoandit/v-dick-sound-sample
and here's what it looks like: and here's a description: - master grade clear Italian Spruce top, IRW back and sides - LOTS of custom features... fret markers, purfling lines, upper fretboard scoop for fingerstyle and aesthetics, spectacular MOP rosette, and lots of other things Scale: 24 9/10 in. (632.5 mm) Nut Width: 1 3/4" String Spacing: 2 1/4" Body Length: 19 3/4 in. Upper Bout: 10 1/2 in. Lower Bout: 15 in. Body Depth @Neck Heel: 3 1/2 in. Body Depth @Tail Block: 4 3/8 in. Frets to body: 12 This guitar was a 2006 collaboration between Victor Dick (http://www.evd303.com/bio.php) and Greg German, and it is as great sounding as it is cool looking. Perfect intonation, great and even low set-up for fingerstyle (but works for flatpicked lines and strumming too), and in impeccable condition save for what looks like a little sap spot discoloration on the top between the bridge and the soundhole: Why? Well...this guitar has been in the classifieds twice before. The first time I barely missed it, and I bought it from the second seller a few months later within an hour or two of its listing. It has not disappointed and is cool, unique, and rich and balanced. But since moving to short scale guitars it seems I have an abundance...I was able to swap unexpectedly a mandolin for one of John Mayes', and I have an Edwinson scheduled to be completed in a month or so. So this one has to go...otherwise it would be a lifetime keeper for me (and that's saying something). $2200, alas no swaps. Happy picking, MK Last edited by Markkunkel; 11-18-2012 at 10:23 AM. |

Thanks for the inquiries...still available despite lots of interest.
Here's another EVD guitar from Dream Guitars that is very similar: http://www.dreamguitars.com/sold-gui...burg_2007_026/ Last edited by Markkunkel; 11-18-2012 at 10:25 AM. |

I think the guitar is about to find a new home, but in case not thought to add a clarification of the nut width/saddle string spacing. It's one of those "in-between" guitars, that can measure either 1 3/4" or 1 13/16" at the nut depending on the measurement technique. It is primarily a fingerstyle guitar (although works surprisingly well for strumming and picking leads too), and feels like one in playing it.
Hope that helps, MK |
