A couple of months ago, in January, Larrivee started selling electric guitars again (they had done so many years ago). Their first model is called the RS-4. It has a real mahogany body and neck with extra long mortise and tenon and a thick layer of flamed maple for the top. It is similar looking to a Les Paul but it has Jason Lollar Imperial Humbucker pickups, CTS pots, Switchcraft switch and jack, Tonepros bridge and tail, and Schaller tuners. So far they are available in four different finishes - amber, cherry burst, charcoal burst and tobacco burst. They are not inexpensive - think PRS territory for the price. Here are some pix:

beautiful, I love all the finishes, that isn't the best picture either, very cool.

Kind of like PRS coming to the acoustic world, why spend the same amount of money on an unproven guitar. It will be challenging but, very nice guitars.

Wow thats funny, my old music prof. had the very, very first prototype electric it was a flying V shape Larrivee electric. This was back in early 80's I believe and the S/N states SS1 which was his initials! It was a really rocking guitar!
