Default Yamaha no. 150

My father was gifted a Yamaha no. 150 classical guitar in the late 1960's. He passed it on to me. The guitar has a great and loud sound projection on the bright side. I can hardly find information about this Yamaha no. 150 on the internet. I would greatly appreciate any information and current value of this particular guitar. Thanks in advance!

Thanks naccoachbob. Information is useful but still scarce. Yamaha seemingly not good in documenting their products in the 1960's. I still play my Yamaha no. 150 on a daily basis and it still look pristine. Amazing guitar really.

I got a Yamaha from 1981 last June, and am really happy with it. It's one of the inexpensive ones from that era, but I found people on the internet saying that Yamaha "hit a home run" with that model - G-255Sii.
I'll keep an eye out for a 150 and maybe get to enjoy what you're hearing.

I can't add anything to the discussion about this particular guitar model, but I came across this serial number information database a few years back, and it seems to be pretty comprehensive (so far as I've used it): http://www.yamaha.com/apps/guitararc...mberWizard.asp

This is an interesting find. I found it just last night whrn I tried researching for more information about this guitar: A Yamaha guitar products brochure dated 1968. Included is the Yamaha no. 150 as well as the lesser models. It is interesting to take note that the Yamaha no. 150 was thop of the line and made of all solid wood. Price listed in 1968 was US$109. It was also mentioned that it was the "Grand Concert" classic.

Click on the: Yamaha guitars amps 1968 catalog and you will be able to see the whole catalog. A good reading for Yamaha fans.
