Chocolate mango for woodstock
Chocolate mango, cedar top, braz binding. Floating fingerboard extension with carbon fiber brace rods to free up the top from any support duties. Lattice braced back to help improve the taptone of the punks mango ( it worked surpringly well)

Thanks Mike. I think you should just drop everything and come on To Woodstock. Its how we did it in the 60's

I don't think the town nor the townsfolk have changed a lot since that time either!!! Just a little grayer.

Another BEAUTY
Glad to see another with the elevated FB extension and the CF struts! Yay
And that top looks familiar... Have FUN in Woodstock but don't eat the Brown acid. (Old joke!) Cheers Paul

Punks mango?, clue me in here. |

I intended to write punky mango because the tap tone is really dead. But with lattice bracing capped with rosewood strips the taptone really improved. Its more like a good hard koa or mahogany braced normally.

Beautiful
That's a beauty John. Wood looks familiar. Steve built me a mango guitar, it was a beauty, got snatched up by a local dealer. This wood is even prettier; bet it sounds great with the cedar top!

I look forward to playing this one, bro.
Drive safe, and see you in just a few days! (We really should find less expensive ways to have family reunions...) Steve |

John - Curious, what would drive you to use wood which, despite being really pretty, is dead-ish...?

OK, I read a few posts above so see you had a formula in mind. Were you keeping your fingers crossed a bit or pretty confident in the outcome on this one....Robert

I felt pretty confident, my plan was to work with the guitar back until ittapped out nicely and then procede with the build. I really enjoy using nontraditional woods, especially if they are pretty

I agree bro. On the other hand it is a family reunion with the potential to make a little money,
