Also, I like how the pickgaurd ties into the inlay piece on the headstock.

Bruce had strung up my guitar last Thursday night and was letting it settle in a day before final setup and polish when he started to get the flu on Friday.

Unfortunately, he is still under the weather, so I am hoping he is on the mend so he can finish and send it out shortly and post some glamor shots.

So I am very excited, but the extra wait is killing me. But in the end, I need to let Bruce do what Bruce needs to do.......Steve

As rumored, I have had a lousy 8 or nine days health-wise, and am still unwilling to so much as handle Steve's guitar as one tiny misstep at this point is an unbearable idea. I think I contracted 2 maladies concurrently, but in any case I hope to be done with the lingering cold shortly. Meanwhile, I did feel up to taking the final pictures, and here are a few cropped shots for you all.

Steve, you certainly coaxed Bruce out of his usual comfort zone aesthetically. It all hangs together quite well.

Congratulations to you both! Cool guitar!

Thank you Howard for your kind words. I really did ask a lot of Bruce and he really went out of his way to make a very unique instrument for me. It has been a great partnership and I think he actually had fun doing it .........Steve

Congrats Steve, beautiful guitar! I know your chomping at the bit for sure.
Bruce, fantastic work! great job as always. I do have one question, what is the width of the shell you used in the headstock? It looks smaller than the standard found at most suppliers.

I had the .030" Paua used on the FB cut for this job! Then, finding the .030" end-mill cutter slot slightly loose, I had some .032" cut for the headstock.

It was great to see the photos of the completed guitar, and the build thread was really enjoyable. Congratulations to Steve as the new owner, and to Bruce for continuing to push the envelope. Sure seems to be a wonderful guitar.

Thanks Chuck. Bruce delivered on all fronts and I love the guitar dearly. I am not a good enough player to show this guitar off. So I am working on getting someone and some studio time to make some nice clips of the guitar to show off its chops…......Steve

Bruce made this clip and I like it a lot. In real life, the guitar does not sound quite as forward as in this recording: http://mojoluthier.com/Music/2280213.mp3
