Default So close, yet so far....... almost NGD

Console me in my impatience.

Headed my way I have a limited edition Larrivée P-09R with a master grade Austrian Red Spruce "Moonwood" top, AAA rosewood back and sides, abalone inlay, flamed maple bindings, ebony fingerboard, rosewood bridge, bone nut and saddle, and high gloss finish. It will be my first 12 fret and my smallest bodied guitar by a lot.

I got excited when it shipped on Monday thinking we would have the weekend to get to know each other a little bit. Then tracking finally showed up and I was dismayed to see it won’t be here until Monday—WHEN I AM LEAVING THE COUNTRY FOR A WEEK!!!! So now it’s ANOTHER week before I get to play with my new toy and I am sad.

Seriously- how does it take 7 days to travel a few states??

Oh man. That is frustrating! It will be worth the wait. It sounds like a sweet guitar.

I'm very interested in this same model. Did you buy new or used? Give us a short review when you had some good playing time with it. Thanks.

Sounds like it will be a winner. Be sure to let us know how you like it when it finally lands in your hands. I can hear Carly's voice now - Antici-pa-ay- shun, is making me wait.....

Best,
Jayne

So, who's going to take delivery while you are outta the country?

If you expect to take delivery just before you leave on the same day, I hope the shipment is not delayed...

'Cos that will put a serious dampener on your holiday.

I will be sure to let you all know my impressions once I get to spend some time with it. I’m generally a dred man so I’m interested in how this new relationship is going to play out haha.

Congrats to be !, When I purchased my Larrivee L-10, I couldn't wait for the regular shipping time, so I had it shipped pronto, Illinois to Texas in 2 days.
I'm not a parlor sized fan myself but folk in the Larrivee forum sure do like them. I know their build with those woods are very nice on other sizes, I think you're really gonna like it when it finally gets to you.

It’s actually being delivered to the church I work at, so I have informed the receptionist to be on the lookout for it and I’ve asked her to inspect the package before she signs for it. Not ideal, but gotta hope for the best!

Thanks!! Every recording I’ve heard has been beautiful, to me it sounds a little more full than a lot of parlors. For $100 I thought I was paying for 2 day, but apparently that’s what ups ground costs these days. And apparently ups ground takes the long way around.

I’ve come to terms with it now and will look forward to it when I get back.

There ya go! I have to wait 5 to 8 weeks for my old cowboy guitar to get restored, so I feel your anticipation, genuinely!
