Default Willin (Linda Ronstadt cover)

I love this song and have been playing a version in Open G tuning (DGDGBD) that matches both the original Little Feat album and the live album (Waiting for Columbus). My wife loves this song also and I thought it might be nice to play along with the Linda Ronstadt version but it is in a different key/tuning than that used by Little Feat. I've tuned up and down from standard tuning but that was not it. Can anyone help?

Thanks!

Sounds like it's in D, capo fret 2. Standard tuning.

That's not it, capo on 1st fret is warmer but still not there. I don't think it is standard tuning.

It really is Standard tuning capo fret 2.

The intro chords are going
| D | Dsus2/C# | G/B A | G |
| D | G A G | D

Got it, I was still playing a version in the key of G with the following chords on the intro:

G - D - Em - C- G- C - C+2 - C - G

Rookie at work. Thanks for the clarification.

Cheers,

Bob

It's actually in Open E on Linda's Hasten Down the Wind Album.
