Received my copy on Monday. Great disc in EVERY aspect. Thanks to the musicians, and everyone involved in putting out a CD of this quality.

Thanks JR.

i've resisted the urge to post before i finish listening to the entire cd. now i've listened to it once............

... i have to say i am very impressed! so impressed by the musicality and creativity of our fellow AGF members. like someone said earlier, for a fingerstyle instrumental guy like me, i thoroughly enjoyed the vocals and songs. and i of course enjoyed all the instrumental pieces. i think if the AGF CD tab book is for sale it'd probably sell very well. i'm gonna chew over some of the melodies in the coming days. i hope i can join the ranks of our featured players in the future.

i'm looking forward to AGF CD volume 2

I'll be seeing Doyle Dykes in mid-October, so I'll give him a copy of our forum CD as a present. I've known Doyle for several years now so I'd like him to have one.

I'll bet he'll be impressed with what our members can do on guitar!

Default radio tonight

Nice to hear from some of you folks recently.
Just wanted to mention that I'll be spinning tunes from the CD again tonight. In September I return to once a month, but I have no live guest for this last of the weekly shows, so expect a healthy dose of acoustic magic to be aired tonight. 7-8 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time, available on www.CKLN.FM. May we all keep finding the new note. nz

This is my favorite track as well, if I were forced to pick one. They're all incredible but this one makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up every time. There's something hauntingly beautiful about this song to me.

Loving my CD, too. My wife, who isn't crazy about acoustic guitar music, actually commented on what a great blend of songs. Check it out!

Got the CD after when I came back from my holidays. It was a lot of fun to listen to. There are some very talented musicians among us. You have to love the CD.

Thumbs up

Right, so I got this CD the other day. Let me say right out front that I'm pretty much strictly a heavy metal guy. I dont seem to enjoy many other styles of music. I have however, lately, been growing a great fondness of acoustic fingerstyle stuff. I discovered it in my quest to learn how to play guitar, and it seems that is all I want to play, not all I want to listen too, but all I want to play.
Anyways, that being said, I really like this CD... there are a few songs that I like less than others, but thats just a taste thing, I cannot fault the talent here.
Great job everyone, and thanks for broadening my horizons.

Default Acoustic

hI,

I haven't tied down an absolute favorite yet (2nd time through the CD) ... but for the instrumentals, I really like Fran Guidry's "Kui Lima" -- sweet! For the vocals, I think Joe Barbieri's "Headin' North" stands out beautifully.
