We are new to the Pac NW, after having lived in the Twin cites for 27 years.

I'm in Blaine WA, just 2 miles from the Vancouver suburb of Whiterock,BC.

Still adjusting to the vibes here...

Residents of Blaine are pretty much “honorary Canadians”
- Victoria B.C. is south of you !

And if you are not careful you will wind up billed for roaming into Canada when your cell phone jumps to Rodgers Cellular.

How about a list of guitar shops?

Olympia has Music 6000.
Typical music store with a little bit of everything from band instruments to sheet music. Lots of guitars. Their "high end" room is primarily Taylor with a lesser amount of Martins, mostly below the Standard Series. Sometimes they have nice used stuff.
Also in Oly is Capitol City Guitars.
They cater mostly to electrics, but they carry Guild acoustics and a few other mid-line brands. Cool store with lots of used gear and they have a huge Reverb business.

Canyon Guitars in near JBLM.
Lots of used stuff, leaning heavily to electric. They have a lot of mid-range off-shore acoustics like Recording King and a fair number of vintage Gibson acoustics hanging on the wall. One cool thing about them is that they have an open mic every Monday evening, usually led off by Randy Hansen, the semi-famous Hendrix impersonator/busker from Pike Place Market.

Lastly, in Portland is Portland Music Company. Their Broadway acoustic store is one of my favorites. Lots of Martins, Guilds, and Taylors. Some nice used stuff, and a few high end models in the wall cases. Super nice folks and decently priced. Plus, no sales tax. I saved $150 on that alone by driving down there to get my 000-15SM.

What do you have in your neighborhood?

The Rosewood Guitar, Dusty Strings and Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar. Trading Musician. American Music. The above are all north of The Ship Canal. Emerald City is downtown, with Thunder Road over in West Seattle. There are a couple Guitar Centers around, somewhere.

Never lived in the PNW, but it's a great place to visit! My favorite are the San Juan Islands... loved Friday Harbor...

An old Army buddy is in Spokane and has land up in the mountains. That's been a wonderful place to visit, as well.
