In general, it's a very good beginner's instrument for its price. Yamaha quality control has impressed me as among the best (possibly the best). Theirs is the one brand that I have the least reservations for ordering online.

thanks for the reply
i think it may suit me being a beginner. i have an acoustic michael kelly and enjoy that but classical is what i want to play. im going to joing the middlesbrough classical guitar society and didnt fnacy turning up with the old boot of a classical ive been playing. that has a cedar top and i like the sound of cedar nice and mellow.

arrived today
it arrived today. and in great condition. and sounds great also. been to busy today to play it properly. so im looking forward to tomorrow. the action is nice also i think this could be a long tearm relationship.
