Default Uke forums?

Not sure if this breaks any rules here (hope not!) but can anyone here recommend some ukulele forums similar to AGF or UMGF? In other words, places where total uke geeks hang out and I can ask questions and learn more. thanks!

Link for the above-
http://ukuleleunderground.com/
Then there's

Then the most fun, if you don't want censorship
http://ukulelecosmos.com/phpBB3/index.php
Lots of English speaking Europeans and Americans. Much reverence for the older styles, where the ukuleleunderground has much reverence for the modern styles.

Fleamarketmusic.com has the best classifieds.

Thanks!! Excellent choices, much to read and learn. One more question: Any recommendations of a good uke book with jazz tunes?

Thanks everyone! I've got uke fever bad. LOTS of good info at many sites. My new Lanikai arrived last week and I spent some good time with it but in spite of it being a pretty little thing (solid koa top, koa laminate sides and back, nice MOP inlay around the sound hole and inlaid logo, wood binding) the fret edges were sharp so I returned it. I could have done some dressing/filing but I felt that a uke that cost about $300 shouldn't have that problem. So, I bit the bullet and bought a Kanile'a Concert size K1 from Hilo Guitars and Ukuleles. Great folks to deal with by the way. It arrives next week. A tenor is definitely in my future too! I thought GAS was bad.... I guess I have UAS!

Watch out for that UAS....it can put a serious dent in your guitar time.

Cape, I just joined over at the Ukulele Underground - seem like nice and very knowledgeable folks. I am also probably going to get a Kanile'a K-1T- a tenor with gloss finish Good for you, can you post pics?

Try out the instruments if you can. The heavy finishes that are typically being put on many manufactured ukes these days can really kill the tone. Find one that sings.....

Another vote for UU ... very great group of ukulele players there. I'm there under the same name.

along with all the other great suggestions, try out www.Taropatch.net has some great Hawaiian and uke content.

Look for a vintage (the new ones are disappointing) Martin uke, or a vintage Kamaka for your next purchase.

Welcome to the world of the ukulele.
