Default Nylon String Guitar suggestions

Hi- looking for something with nylon strings I can include in my various acts for a few classical solo pieces and mainly for jazz/bossa type feel.

I have around £500 in the budget (around $650). This is only going to be used for about 15% of my set so dont wanna break the bank.

I know some guitars come with thinner necks which is not a huge deal for me either way as sometimes the wider neck has its advantages as well.

I had a NTX700 recently which sounded nice plugged in but (IMHO) terrible acoustic so I got rid of it.

It will need a pickup though. Ive been looking at the new Taylor 12e-N which looks nice and I've heard Cordoba are pretty good- anything else?

Thanks

The La Patrie guitars are very nice. From the Godin stable (Art & Lutherie, Seagull, Simon & Patrick) so good bang for the er.... pound.

I have an Art & Lutherie Ami Nylon Parlor guitar (no longer in production) which is essentially a re-badged LP Motif and I adore it.

You might have to stretch the budget just a touch to get a model with electronics though.

Ditto on the La Patrie. I have a La Patrie Concert (a step up from the Etude) and I love it. I don't have electronics, but they are available. Check out their website. Price fits well inside the required budget -- at least in the US. Should be OK in GB given that LaPatrie and their parent, Godin, ate Canadian.

I think you should be looking at a classical guitar and not a nylon hybrid for acoustic tone. A pickup can be fitted at a later date.

Try before you buy...

At that price point and your criteria it will be hard to beat the following guitars:

http://www.lapatrieguitars.com/guita...ollection.html

https://www.cordobaguitars.com/guitars/12-maple/

I have both of these instruments.

I would give the edge to the Cordoba as it has a bit more projection and sounds more traditional. The 12 fret cutaway makes it a tad more comfortable. Should be able to find one around your budget on reverb or ebay.

Yamaha SLG200N, if they sell in your range of price, where you are.

Awesome for Jazz and Rosa Nova, and have the built in reverb or chorus.

They are $629 at Amazon.com, Sweetwater, etc.

Visit this spot: http://www.classicalguitardelcamp.co...146571e5419b3d. I got deal on the single luthier-built beauty. If you learn the ads' code, you may find something used, local, and equally beautiful.
