Default Dreradnought Guitar Stands

So I got a dreadnought and find it doesn't set the best on the guitar stands that I have. They work great for my 00 guitars. So I start net shopping and to my surprise I can't find that many guitar stands for sale that look like they would be that sturdy for a dreadnought. Yes I want a sturdy robust guitar stand that doesn't cost $150. I don't want to hang it on the wall. It appears most guitar stands are built for numerous styles and sizes of guitars. I want a sturdy stand with a big secure platform for the dread to set on.

Hercules GS414B. All my acoustic guitars hang on them. Stable, very strong, the best.

Another recommendation for Hercules.
I have several of these and they are great.
Hold the guitar well and very sturdy.

MF has them on sale today for $34 shipped ($39.99 reg price).

Hamilton KB-38. It was the gold standard for many years before there were other good options. Mine from 25 years ago is still going strong. Hercules is good too.

I wouldn't touch the Ultimate brand with a ten foot pole. I bought one years ago and it worked fine, but the adjusting mechanism broke. No damage by me. The plastic just cracked. I wrote to Ultimate and they would not repair it under warranty, or sell me a replacement part, or fix it if I sent it to them.

They are expensive yes, well worth it though. They'll make them out of whatever wood you want, and they make it to fit the guitar you want it for.

I use nothing else. Welded steel, strong like you wouldn't believe, and folds flat. Around $25US.

I use Hercules also - I've got both the stand linked above, and another just like it with a fold down top instead of the bend. I'll soon get the two guitar model - I usually take two with me when I play out. The two guitar model is less than the $100 you don't want to spend.....

After buying one Hercules, that's all I've got now.

My old Gibson ES335 was knocked off one of those by a club-official at a gig. You guessed - the traditional Gibson headstock-break. Those stands aren't allowed anywhere near my guitars now.

Ultimate Stands S100 (or variants). I use them for all my acoustics AND my electric and acoustic bass guitars. Fold up pretty small, sturdy, secure, and reasonably priced. Better than having the guitar sit on something is to have it HANG on something. Hercules (and others with the movable neck grips) are fine in the studio, but they won't hold up with heavy use on the road. I have a couple of them in my closet ... all broken at the "flippers".

Thanks for the responses..... I'm surprised so many like the hanging guitar stands. I'm going through all the suggestions. Thanks again

I'm curious why that surprises you? IME they are the most stable, and adaptable. The Hamilton KB-38 that I use can hold anything from electric bass to mandolin.
