And look at that Maple ... WOW ... this set just gets better and better.

Do the "eyes" need anything special for finishing? What finish will you be using for this build?

Just wait until I get some finish on it! No special needs for the "eyes". I'll use nitrocellulose lacquer like I usually do and I'm keeping the finish natural.

Dig the seamless transition on the cutaway and how the purfling stops just into the heel cap on both sides.

Great details and craftsmanship!
