they should do a signature series of that sparkly taylor...they would sell a ton of them i'm sure....Taylor swift is very popular, no matter what the AGF says

Also, they should do a signature series of that Koa GA she always plays...that thing looks pretty sweet

I doubt you wouldn't hear the difference if she did play the Daisy Rock and that is not a swipe at "Taylor" guitars. Why would Taylor guitar promote something where she effectively added weight and deadened the top. It's about "show" which would tend indicate that her appeal for the guitar is not tone.

Not that guitar companies haven't used posers before but I guess I'm not in the group of consumers they are trying to attract and find the Taylor Swift hoopla sickening.

What happened to the guitar company whose message was that they could make a pallet sound and play good? Tone and playability has been drowned out by flash and pretty faces. I guess I'm too old school. Some time ago it seemed it wasn't about the brand as much about the guitars.

My understanding is that she doesn't like it acoustically. But I suppose it's fine once it's plugged in.

Default There is some value

Now before anyone jumps to conclusions, I am no fan of Taylor Swift or posers. I have a nine year old daughter who loves her. I think someone like Swift is really good at getting kids-especially young girls into music. She definately listens to my music but she loves hers and it is far better than the disney stuff she listened too a couple of years ago. It is a very interesting musical evolution. She has gone from pure childrens music to this and I suspect she will continue to evolve.

I really had to think about it before I saw the value in someone like Taylor Swift. My daughter is a very accomplished violinist, but she cannot wait to start guitar lessons and get her first Taylor. She has figured out a dozen Swift songs on her violin and I happily strum along with her as she plays and sings them.

Just another perspective.

"Poser" with the number one album in the country. If marking up instruments is a crime you'd better arrest every single rock and roller EVER. Remember Stevie Ray's Sparkle SRV stickers on his "Pride and Joy"?

Sheesh, lighten up.

She never plays it when she's not playing with the band. When we saw her I think she only played it for one song (Our Song which you can't here her guitar anyway) otherwise she used her Koa (which sounded aweseome) when she actually played.

I agree that guitar is just wrong so was
Clapton's "Fool". Also remember one is a solid body with electronics and one is hollow. That said, at least SRV is LEGITIMATE. Miss Swift is just another manufactured pop star. I can't believe she is even considered country. Oh, my bad, she wears cowboy boots with mini skirts. I give Kelly Pickler more cred. She at least has some twang.

The sparkle guitar was originally made for a video so it's not her fault.
