When you say "showing up now", do you mean they are shipping from Taylor now or they already shipped?

Thanks!

Wow! They all look so beautiful, especially the sassafras. What kind of tone characteristics can that wood have? How about the advanced performance bracing? Is protein glue like hide glue? I could almost justify buying one of those to hang backwards on the wall.

So the 514ce sunburst has a Sitka top?
How does the Blackwood compare with Indian Rosewood?
Does it come with es2 electronics?
Thanks.

Nice lineup. As a collection I would say this is one of the best runs of LTDs Taylor has done. There are some very cool offerings.

Thanks for the post, Ted! That 700 series looks amazing. Is "Advanced Performance bracing" what they're calling the new 800 series bracing, or is this something different?

Let me answer a few questions.

These guitars started shipping a week or so ago so your dealer might already have some. We have only received the 500 series guitars so far so I can't comment on the others yet but the Blackwood LTD is similar tonally to the Koa series with Spruce top but with a bit more warmth. I think this series will be very well received given that the price is only about 5% more than a standard 500.

The 700 series has received the full 800 series treatment including bracing, thin finish and protein glue so it should be killer. I will give you my thoughts once I have had a chance to play one in a quiet setting.

Those all look fantastic!

I mean, an all-koa GS mini? Egads, it's going to take a lot of willpower for me to stay away from those...

How are they priced relative to the all-hog mini's?
