Go to youtube and watch the video of John Denver performing "Guess he'd rather be in Colorado" live at the wildlife concert with his all-Koa Taylor. If it doesn't make you want a guitar like that, it may still make you want a tissue.

Beautiful guitar! I have and enjoy a 114CE, which I believe sounds and plays better than many more expensive instruments I've tried. That finish....really makes me think maybe time to check it out!

I'll have to look at that video. As a lifetime JD fan, I never seen him play anything but Guild, 6's and 12's. He died in '97. Were Taylors even around then?

Default NGD - Taylor 114e with new satin burst finish

I love my 114ce. After a Colosi bone saddle & pins, and swapping the ES-T for the K&K ultra pure mini, it's my main gigging guitar. I love it, sounds great and super rugged. I also don't have to worry much about humidity and playing outdoor gigs at the beach are cool.

Enjoy it!

Love the new Taylor 114 burst, The Taylor 114 is one of my favorites for an expensive ,but affordable guitar. They are so comfortable to play.

LOL. Taylors were definitely around in the 90s and well before.

Yup, just started rolling out the burst models. I think it might be a limited time thing? At least that's what I told my wife to help justify things.

Recently acquired a 214ce in a burst. Great guitar.
I think Taylor is doing a nice job on these bursts!
Congratulations on your NGD!

I wish they had had that finish when I bought my 114ce. I might have kept it.

The one challenge with sunbursts are fixing dings and making them blend in.

Haha, smooth!
That goes in the arsenal of justification... Thanks.
