Default La Conner Guitar Festival (Washington State), May 12-14, 2017

Seems like there's no shortage of guitar / luthier shows this year. One of the newest ones is the La Conner Guitar Festival, taking place about an hour north of Seattle from May 12-14, 2017.

http://laconnerguitarfestival.com

I love La Conner - it's one of the quintessential little waterfront towns in Washington State...tons of stores, good food and beer. A couple months back, I toured the facility where it's taking place (the Fretboard Journal is a sponsor and I wanted to check it out) and it looks really nice. It's about the size of Woodstock's venue.

There will be around 40 luthiers on hand, including John Walker, Steve Andersen, Meagan Wells, Beneteau, Galloup, Steve Grimes, Wyatt Wilkie, Steve Klein, Roy McAlister and other AGF favorites...I believe they've sold out of tables already. They're also throwing some evening concerts / workshops.

Updates can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/LaConnerGuitarFestival/

Hope to see some of you there. The idea for a Seattle-area guitar show has been kicking around for some time and I'm glad to see it finally happening. I'll be up there all three days. If anyone needs any travel/lodging tips, I'd be happy to help...

I'd like to attend, I've never been to one of these.
We'll see.

I'll be going on Saturday. Looking forward to it and would like to meet other AGFers. Shoot me a quick email at [email protected] if you want to touch base while at the show.

Looking forward to seeing you guys. Please come by the FJ table and say hello if you have time.

PS: I reserved the outdoor patio at La Conner Brewing at 6pm tomorrow in case anyone wants to join us. They have good food and (of course) beer.

Looking forward to meeting some of you guys. I'll be there Saturday around mid morning. I spoke with Teddy Randazzo and he may be meeting me at the show as well.

Matt, you live so close to me (I'm in Lynnwood), let's make sure to touch base.

Jay

Phil and Jay and Steve Jason and Scott,

It was fun running into you at the show. It was a fantastic weekend with a lot of GREAT music and of course guitars! This was my first guitar show, and it was special meeting with and talking to so many talented luthiers. Finally had a chance to meet Paul Woolson and see his craftsmanship first hand. Stunning!
La Conner is a fun town and it was perfect for this show. Hope they do it again. Jason, thanks for all the photos!
