These have been the low cost favorite for a while now. The world needs more gateway drug instruments. I'll pre congratulate you on your future Pisgah.

I got a Deering badtimes classic like 10 years ago. Every other musician I know steered me towards Goldtone as the number one beginner gateway drug. Considering I never listen to anyone, I still went with the former. Since getting started, I've owned and sold a Ramsey Woody 12" and an Enoch Tradesman 12". Those drugs are too hard for me though, so I always fall back on the trusty Badtimes to get my buzz. Ziptied a Schatten pickup to the coordinating rod so I can amplify and annoy all the nearby cats and dogs. And people.
