Sometimes Tradition Sucks

Banjitars are tuned like a guitar but look like a banjo so what kind of bridge does it have? Banjo bridge. To keep it looking like a banjo. NOT compensated like a guitar saddle. Sounds out of tune always & there's nothing you can do because no one has thought to make one this century. I love playing my banjitar but it will never really be in tune. I'm optimistic the technology will be available someday. Maybe from NASA.

Deering uses intonated bridges on their guitar-banjos. I own one and it makes an immense difference.

You can probably get a bridge from Deering, it should work.

If your banjitar were fully in tune, it would just confuse the banjo players -- they've never heard a banjo in tune before.

I kid, having recently bought a used Deering Good Time banjo and now learning to play it. I know most of the chords from my slack-key guitar work in Taropatch tuning (Open G). But banjo rolls are WAY different than guitar fingerpicking patterns. I can make it sound OK now but you can certainly tell it is a guitar playing operating it.
